Need help citing sources in your research?
Citation style is one of frequent questions from graduate students. Before citing sources, please check with your professor to see if a particular style is required.

The following is the List of Style Manuals that is generally used in IUJ.

  1. Modern Language Association (MLA) Style
    MLA style for documentation is widely used in the humanities, especially in writing on language and literature.

  2. American Psychological Association (APA) Style
    Developed by the American Psychological Association. This style has become the standards for works in the Social Sciences.

  3. CHICAGO Style
    The Chicago Manual of Style presents two basic documentation systems, the humanities style (notes and bibliography) and the author date system. For information about preferred style, please check first with your professor.
